Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Officer with Fameccanica in West Chester, OH

Fameccanica North America is hiring a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Officer to support our environmental, health, and safety efforts across two manufacturing facilities. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen safety documentation, improve compliance processes, and help build a stronger safety culture throughout the organization.
You'll work closely with the Operations Manager, site leadership, and an external safety consultant to ensure safety practices are consistent, effective, and well documented.
What You'll Be Doing- Coordinate and support employee safety training programs
- Track and maintain safety training records and documentation
- Conduct safety walkthroughs across both facilities
- Identify potential safety risks and recommend improvements
- Partner with leadership to reinforce safety standards and expectations
- Support safety awareness meetings and communications
- Assist with incident and near miss investigations and follow-up actions
- Maintain safety records, permits, SDS files, and compliance documentation
- Support customer safety requirements and audits (ISN, Avetta, etc.)
- Partner with an external safety consultant to strengthen internal processes
This role is hands‑on, visible on the shop floor, and closely connected to day‑to‑day operations.
What We're Looking For- Experience in health, safety, or environmental coordination roles
- Comfort working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong organization, documentation, and follow‑through skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
- Someone who enjoys partnering with leaders and employees to improve safety
- Experience working with external safety consultants is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred
- OSHA 10 or 30, First
