Our client is an industry/global leader in developing consumer products in various areas of their business. Some of the industries that they support are Hygiene, Health and Beauty, Life Care as well as cosmetics. This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the biggest companies in the chemical and cosmetic field.

• Pay Rate: $24-25/HR
• 3 month contract-to-hire
• Experience 0-2 years of experience with bench work
• Degree Biology/Micro or related field

Summary:

Requires highly-effective verbal & written communication skills & the ability to effectively multi-task, so to organize & prioritize between tasks. Being able to provide coverage for other laboratory areas, such as the Product Lab, is a plus. Should have a basic understanding of microbiology & the impact that people & the environment can have on finished product results. Significant experience with Microsoft Office programs.

Experience with Systems, Applications & Products (SAP) in Data Processing is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) & safety precautions as outlined by the Plant Leadership via written procedures & safety standards (i.e. SDS).
• Participate in all facets of microbial testing (i.e. media production, PET, Celsis, APC, & Enrichment, & any miscellaneous testing) while being GMP-compliant & inclusive of OT when needed.
• Report all out of specification (OOS) results to a QS Leader or designee.
• Support the initiatives of key manufacturing & quality personnel, such as obtaining environmental samples for process improvements or water sampling.
• Ensure the good maintenance-state of the appointed laboratory instruments.
• Supporting the auditing of key manufacturing & quality processes, including data entry of environmental or product samples.

Requirements:

• BS/BA in Microbiology, Biology or related field with 0-2 years of industry lab experience
