The EMT provides basic life support (BLS) care and safe medical transportation to patients in emergency and non-emergency settings. EMTs are responsible for patient assessment, stabilization, and transport while maintaining professionalism and compliance with all state and company protocols.

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service
• Assess patient condition and provide appropriate BLS care
• Safely operate ambulance and related equipment
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospitals, and care teams
• Complete accurate patient care reports (PCRs)
• Maintain ambulance, equipment, and supplies in a state of readiness
• Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations

• Current EMT-B certification (Ohio or Iowa, or ability to obtain reciprocity)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 250 lbs with assistance
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• 1+ year EMT experience
• EVOC or CEVO certification
• Familiarity with local service areas
