The Sales and Admissions Associate conducts direct sales activities in order to achieve and exceed occupancy goals for the life plan community in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Essential Activities and TasksSales, Marketing, and Referral Management - 75%
Conducts direct sales activities needed to maintain census at budgeted occupancy (i.e. phone calls, tours, appointments, home visits, visit referral sources, etc.).
Identifies, builds, and sustains prospect and referral source relationships to drive revenue growth.
Maintains appropriate, regular contact with all assigned prospects and individuals on the wait list.
Maintains current and accurate records through use of computers and/or other documentation in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Keeps Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or other records system current and accurate.
Maintains the confidentiality of prospect and resident information.
Business Development and Strategic Planning - 15%
Qualifies prospects financially, prepares contracts, and coordinates pre-admission assessments for licensed areas.
Communicates need for leads with Director of Sales and Marketing, and coordinates and participates in activities to convert prospects to sales or to generate new leads.
Willingly and consistently shares observations and insights of departmental operations that may improve quality and efficiencies of department.
Attends all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled or as directed.
Relationship Management and Community Relations - 10%
Promotes relationship building, sales, and marketing efforts through public speaking engagements as needed.
Fosters, develops, and maintains positive and effective relationships with the media, community leaders, churches, and other potential referral sources.
All other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Experience
Two years sales and marketing experience with a proven sales record required.
Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet required.
Proficiency with a Customer Relationship Management system preferred.
Other Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be insurable under professional liability and crime coverage policies as specified by insurance carrier underwriting standards.
