Academic Simulation Skills Lab Coordinator

Job Description

Supervise day to day operations of the simulation and skills lab to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based learning experiences that align with curriculum goals and promote student competency. Collaborate with faculty to plan and implement simulation and skills lab activities to support nursing and health science education.

• Organize and maintain the simulation and clinical lab spaces, simulators, task trainers, AV systems, software, and medical devices are functional, properly maintained, and ready for instructional use.
• Develop and manage schedules for simulation sessions, skills labs, and faculty training sessions.
• Develop, implement, and enforce safety standards, lab policies, and ensure adherence to accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for simulation implementation in both classroom and clinical settings, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance.
• Prepare simulation spaces, set up equipment, and operate simulation‑related technology during sessions, ensuring realism and instructional effectiveness.
• Manage lab inventory and supplies and ensure accurate recordkeeping of supply usage by course and clinical labs.
• Monitor expenditures and contribute to the annual budget by providing recommendations regarding equipment, supplies, and technology needs.
