Advanced Practice Provider - Orthopedic Spine​/Neuro

The Christ Hospital Health Network is in search of an advanced practice provider to join our musculoskeletal service line rendering professional clinical services to its patients as part of the orthopedic spine and neuro team.

Shift: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Day shift and weekends

The Christ Hospital – Joint and Spine Center (2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219).

Position

Description:

Provider will serve as a full‑time APP providing coverage for the Neuro spine and Ortho spine teams.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be a PA or NP that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Inpatient and emergency department consultations
• Surgical and Procedural Patient education and preparation in conjunction with Surgeons
• Inpatient and post‑operative patient rounding
• Discharge planning (post‑acute care) and discharging of patients from acute care.

The schedule will include working five days per week (3 weekdays plus a half day on both Saturday and Sunday). General neuro and/or ortho experience is preferred but not required.

Graduate from accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

• DEA license
• BLS and ACLS certified

Acute Care, Adult, or Family Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing or applicable state board.

Graduate from accredited physician assistant program with a Master's Degree Physician Assistant Certification (verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant –NCCPA). Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio or applicable state medical board. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
