Responsibilities
  • Assessment – Deliver comprehensive care by assessing the patient’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and educational needs using the Christ Hospital Health Network Professional Practice Model while collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Diagnosis & Planning – Create personalized care plans that prioritize patient needs and goals in partnership with patients and families.
  • Implementation – Provide evidence‑based, best‑in‑class care by educating patients and families, executing well‑planned interventions, and utilizing hospital policies and procedures.
  • Evaluation – Monitor and adjust care based on patient outcomes and evidence‑based practices.
  • Leadership & Professional Development – Work closely with the Clinical Manager to drive improvement and achieve better outcomes through performance improvement initiatives, advocate for High Reliability principles, motivate, educate, delegate, and mentor peers while managing patient care effectively.
Qualifications
  • Accurately and concisely document the nursing process in the patient’s electronic medical record, reflecting the implemented plan of care by the patient, family, and healthcare team. Ensure timely documentation of care, updates, education, and patient/family responses in line with hospital policy.
  • Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies, complete required training, meet all educational requirements, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning while providing the legendary patient care for which the network is known.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • BLS required before patient contact.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire in step‑down and ICU areas.
  • Unit specific certifications may be required.
