Position DescriptionThe BTL1/QMHS position is multi-faceted due to the variety of services that may be provided by this staff member depending on their specific caseload including mental health treatment and support services and/or therapeutic behavior intervention services.
Primary job responsibility is to provide services to children with autism and/or related disorders in either a 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 or small group setting with the agency or community settings.
The BTL1/QMHS position will receive 1:1 and/or group supervision from supervisors through direct observation, clinical meetings, and/or videos. Supervision may be provided by different supervisors based on the service provided by work being completed. Supervision is provided regularly and documented. In addition, the behavior technician is required to attend team meetings, staff professional development sessions per their specific staff development plan and scheduled training as part of their position.
Minimum Requirements , Knowledge, and Skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communicate effectively including in a timely manner following company requirements (within 24 hours); model of quality documentation; proactive communication with leadership
- Knowledge and competent use of computer, internet navigation, email management, electronic health record systems
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to situational events
- Ability to conduct all daily living and self-care activities with clients
- Reliable, punctual, excellent attendance (e.g., has reliable transportation to and from work)
- Respond positively to and immediately implement feedback accordingly
- Ability to positively interact with clients, families, and other stakeholders

Credentials PreferredRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT). It is recommended that a behavior technician have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work or a related degree.
Education and/or Experience RequirementsHigh School Degree and at least 18 years of age. It is recommended that a behavior technician have experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis or with individuals with developmental or mental health disorders.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Competencies- Will spend substantial time standing, sitting, speaking and listening.
- Must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to travel via personal vehicle to our facilities and community settings.
- Remail, “Fit For Duty” at all times, including but not limited to performing job responsibilities in a safe, secure, and effective manner and remaining able to do so throughout the entire time they are working is essential
This position will require operation of all of the following equipment:
- Telephone, cell phone, fax
- Computer, printer, copy machine, and related equipment
- Google platform or similar, EHR system, electronic payroll and time-clock system
