SocialGuide
The Social Guide facilitates community-based activities for small groups of adults with developmental disabilities, emphasizing community inclusion. Helps people receiving services identify and participate in activities that promote increased independence, social skill development, and community inclusion.
Department & PurposePrograms. Responsible for fulfilling LADD’s mission to empower adults with developmental disabilities to live, work, and connect; engages directly with developmentally disabled adults and their families based on their prescribed individual needs. Reports To Program Manager.

- Employee Classification:

- Transport group to activities throughout the greater Cincinnati area.
- Professionally drive and maintain a van.
- Plan and implement a variety of activities out in the community that reflect the preferences and interests of individuals served.
- Assist with collaborative decision-making.
- Foster connections, natural supports, and inclusion at a variety of community sites.
- Provide direct care, including assistance with eating and toileting as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Track the progress of the goals of individuals served.
- Positively represent LADD, the Developmental Disabilities community, and be a good role model to individuals served by maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
- Model The LADD Way (TLW) ensures performance is aligned with TLW and the policies and practices set for the department.
- Approach life with a positive and fun loving nature.
- Coach positive social skills and interpersonal relationships.
- Complete annual assessments as required.
- Keeps up-to-date on all relevant training and certifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Current Medication Administration Certification (as applicable).
- Current NMT Physical required.
- Valid driver’s license with fewer than six points, and be insured.
- Set schedule – M–F 8:30–4:30.
- 1 weekend a month on call.
- Work is performed in a variety of community settings, including offices, museums, public facilities, assembly areas, and outdoor areas.
