Location:

Good Samaritan Hospital, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220

Work Hours:
  • Full-time, 64 hours bi-weekly
  • Day shift
  • Weekend and Holiday rotation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Technology, Chemical or Biological Science (Required)
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience clinical in a related field (Preferred)
  • American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Required

Position Overview

This position performs a full range of laboratory tests, confirms the accuracy of results, and reports findings to physicians, pathologists, and other clinicians. It may work in any major laboratory area:
Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. The role includes operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, utilizing the laboratory computer system, adhering to established policies and procedures, and working under general supervision while independently handling specimen processing and result reporting.
