Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification and BLS to perform diagnostic imaging and assist with OR and fluoroscopy procedures.
Responsibilities- Work in a diagnostic radiology department with possible OR and fluoroscopy responsibilities
- Shifts are 4x10 hours from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
- Rotates every third weekend with a schedule of 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM and covers holidays
- Patient care includes a variety of diagnostic radiology cases
- Uses Epic EHR and PACS system, experience preferred
- Duties include taking patient history, preparing and positioning patients, performing radiographic procedures, and documenting exposures
- Assist providers with fluoroscopic and specialized radiographic procedures using aseptic techniques
- Applicants will complete EKG testing on the first day with two attempts available and study guides provided
- Must follow ALARA principles for radiation safety
- Professional interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams required
- May be exposed to high stress, fluctuating workloads, or hazardous materials
- 50-mile radius rule applies for candidates
- Weekend and holiday work required
- Locals are accepted for this position
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- State radiology license required if applicable
- 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred
- Experience with OR and fluoroscopy highly preferred
- Associate's degree from ARRT-accredited program preferred
