In‑house role serving as liaison for a wide variety of laboratory customers. The position procures quality specimens from adult, geriatric, pediatric, and infant patients for diagnostic testing in accordance with CLIA, TJC, and CAP guidelines. It may also perform ECGs on outpatients.

• Procure specimens and maintain specimen integrity by obtaining patient identification and accurate data.
• Use LIS/HIS to enter patient demographics, test orders, and label specimens.
• Receive incoming specimens, distribute them to appropriate lab departments for testing.
• Make and receive telephone calls to/from customers, answering questions and resolving service and billing issues.
• Complete documentation to satisfy OIG compliance, including accurate interpretation and transcription of physician orders.
• Follow safety, confidentiality, and sample‑integrity protocols; take initiative on complex tasks.

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in phlebotomy.
• Additional phlebotomy experience upon hire is preferred.

• Occasional climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling; frequent or consistent standing, walking, sitting.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs consistently, 50 lbs rarely, 50 lbs occasionally.
• Concentration and interpersonal communication consistently; hearing both conversation and other sounds consistently.
• Visual acuity for far and near consistently; color vision consistently.
