Medical Technologist & Lab Technician, Clinical Research
Lab Technologist I or II – Join Cincinnati Children’s Clinical Laboratory team.
Hours: M-F 9 pm – 7:30 am (four 10‑hour shifts after training) with rotating weekends and holidays required.
Job Responsibilities- Provide departmental support: conduct, direct, or assist in special projects, evaluations, experiments, or research; participate in cross‑trained rotations and maintain competency across laboratory sections.
- Apply technical skills and knowledge: independently perform a variety of laboratory tests, operate instruments, conduct preventive maintenance, perform quality control procedures, identify and correct QC failures, prepare samples and reagents, manage inventory, and train bench personnel.
- Deliver customer service: maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues, respond promptly to requests, and communicate relevant information.
- Support professional development: keep up to date with continuing education, attend mandatory training, apply new knowledge to work, and participate in professional committees.
- Uphold quality and accountability: maintain accurate, precise work with low error rate, comply with policies and regulations, document compliance, promote a safe work environment, and participate in accreditation activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science OR associate degree in related science.
- Lab Technician I – 0‑2 years of experience.
- Lab Technician II – 2+ years of experience with a bachelor’s; 4+ years with an associate degree.
- Certified MLS or MLT through a national certifying agency.
