Physical Therapist, Outpatient Rehab (Float) Cincinnati Market
Full‑time, 40 hrs/week, float position. Two days per week will be at Mercy Kings Mills and the PT will also float to other facilities in the Cincinnati Market.
Mercy Outpatient Physical Therapy in Cincinnati is seeking a talented, compassionate physical therapist committed to excellence. Our treatment model is impairment‑based and focused on hands‑on, evidence‑based care delivered one‑to‑one. Therapists are trained in advanced skills including dry needling, manual therapy, manipulation, load progression and return‑to‑play evidence‑based practices.
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist completes initial and ongoing assessments and delivers skilled therapeutic interventions to patients, including outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics and off‑site locations. Services are part of the continuum of professional care.
- Evaluate patients, gather pertinent information from various sources, and develop an appropriate treatment plan with specific goals; responsible for ongoing assessment, efficiency of the plan, and revisions as needed.
- Provide direct therapy to patients daily following their plan of care and current standards of practice for physical therapy. Provide instruction in therapeutic procedures to patients and family.
- Maintain accurate and concise records of treatment provided and patient progress; document all care, coordination of services, orders, goals, etc. in the patient’s electronic medical record in an accurate and timely manner. Provide timely co‑signature for supervised physical therapy assistants, if applicable.
- Maintain a set level of productivity without jeopardizing quality; deliver efficient and effective care meeting and exceeding department standards.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures regarding safety, infection control, time‑off requests and timecard recording; complete all necessary education and yearly compliance requirements.
- Supervise the physical therapist assistant’s treatment interventions and professional growth.
Education:
None
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or meet all qualifications for traineeship or temporary license in the state of current practice (required).
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire; required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).
- 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred).
- Demonstrates appropriate application of age‑specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
- Has analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities and progress.
- Possesses interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with co‑workers, physicians, patients and families.
- Works well with all levels of patients, the public and other health‑care professionals.
- Demonstrates critical‑thinking skills.
