Job Responsibilities- Compliance - Patient Services Staff: sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, support leadership, monitor safety and departmental policies, ensure individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled, and communicate compliance concerns to leadership.
- Uses systems thinking: view patient and family within the unit, coordinate care, sustain understanding of regulatory requirements, monitor safety, and communicate compliance concerns.
- Clinical judgment when performing caring practices: collect clinical data, follow algorithms and protocols, document plan of care, focus on patient and family needs, anticipate future needs, and integrate age‑specific concepts.
- Clinical inquiry & performance review: follow standards and guidelines, implement changes, recognize the need for further learning, and utilize performance review for competence and professional development.
- Collaborates with team using shared decision‑making: participate in interdisciplinary meetings, contribute to shared governance, and implement council decisions.
- Interprofessional Practice: consistently integrate the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) in all aspects of practice.
- Exhibits advocacy, moral agency, and response to inclusion: represent patients, assess ethical conflicts, support cultural inclusion, and incorporate inclusive concepts into patient care.
- Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Inclusive: consistently integrate age‑specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care.
- Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA accredited institution with 2+ years of experience. If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete within 5 years.
- Preferred: BSN or MSN from ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA accredited institution.
- Active Ohio RN License (may be required to obtain other state licensure).
- Foreign graduates must have license validated through Tru Merit™ per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.
