Job Responsibilities- Maintain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Support leadership in compliance efforts to meet and sustain regulatory compliance within the department and hospital.
- Monitor safety and departmental policies and procedures, ensuring individual certifications and safety college requirements are fulfilled promptly.
- Use systems thinking to coordinate patient and family care, integrating age‑specific and culturally inclusive concepts.
- Collect clinical data and follow established protocols; document care plans and outcomes, anticipating future needs.
- Engage in clinical inquiry and performance reviews; implement evidence‑based practice changes and seek assistance in complex situations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in shared governance, and contribute to shared decision making.
- Integrate the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) and advocate for patients and families, addressing ethical and cultural concerns.
- Document and facilitate patient/family education, using teach‑back methods to assess understanding.
- Associate/Diploma prepared RN from an accredited institution (ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA) with at least 2 years of experience. If hired without a BSN or MSN, enrollment in a BSN/MSN program required within 1 year of hire and completion within 5 years.
- Preferred: BSN or MSN from an accredited institution.
- Active Ohio RN license; additional state licensure may be required.
- Foreign graduates must have license validated through Tru Merit® per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.
