Position: MEDICAL ASSISTANT - DR. MATIC

MEDICAL ASSISTANT – DR. MATIC

Ortho Alliance

Position based at Summit location in Sharonville, Cincinnati, OH 45241.

Hours:

Mon‑Fri.

Responsibilities
  • Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment by addressing questionable findings or concerns.
  • Work positively and cooperatively with staff.
  • Respond flexibly to changing situations to meet current needs.
  • Attend required annual in‑service programs.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to facility safety requirements and procedures.
  • Complete EMR intake at time of service.
  • Escort patients to room.
  • Review H&P for new patients and/or new problems before physician sees patient.
  • Assist with medical procedures (casting, suture removal, injections, record prescriptions).
  • Give instructions to patient regarding casts.
  • Assist with PT requests, off‑work requests, school notes.
  • Assign coding procedures and document on encounter form.
  • Receive and reply to medical‑related messages and prescription requests, recording in patient record.
  • Communicate with physicians and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and bio‑hazardous disposal.
  • Order medical supplies as needed.
  • Assist with medical records filing when necessary.
  • Dispose of expired medications.
  • Facilitate scheduling outpatient testing and pre‑certification (MRI, CT, Bonescan, Dexascan).
  • Ensure exam rooms and clinic work areas remain clean and tidy for the next scheduled clinic.
  • Travel to other locations as needed.
  • Obtain readings for MRI and X‑Rays.
  • Coordinate with ancillary services for follow‑up care.
  • Develop streamlined communication process for patient messages.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Physical Requirements
  • Shout, see up close and at distance, read and comprehend.
  • Stand, sit, walk, reach, handle objects.
  • Work in close quarters and be on feet 4‑5 hours or more per shift.
  • Climb, pull, push, squat, kneel.
  • Maximum unassisted lift 50 lbs; average lift 25‑50 lbs.
Qualifications

Required

  • Technical or other training or better.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • CPR and BLS certifications.
  • Motivation, self‑starter, flexibility, team player, detail oriented.
