Come work for a home health agency with a higher standard! We are currently hiring full‑time and part‑time home health aides and STNAs with an advanced level of understanding or higher in Spanish. An intermediate or higher level of English understanding is preferred.

The Home Health Aide is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. The Home Health Aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a client's care.

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare or relevant experience
• Certified in CPR, or willing to become certified before starting work
• Have reliable transportation
• Self‑directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
• Empathy for the needs of the client
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to express spoken and/or written ideas in English
• The ability to treat clients, staff, and the public with courtesy, respect, and present a positive public image
• Work as a team member
• Ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information

The home health aide will not perform nursing practice according to the State's Nurse Practice Act. Specifically, the aide will not administer medications, take physician's orders, or perform procedures requiring the training, knowledge and skill of a licensed nurse.

Contact with client in their living environment. May be required to respond in an emergency situation. Travel required. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.

May include gloves, mask, eye protection, CPR shield and disposable outer covering. All required protective equipment is provided by Bright Star.

• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Limited travel within the greater Cincinnati area as needed for various staff and client care service needs.
• Up to 10% or as directed based on the needs of the business and attending job required training and conferences.
• All travel time between clients (not to and from home) will be paid.
