A full‑time Post Doc Fellow position is available in the Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
A full‑time Post Doctoral Fellow staff position is available in the collaborative laboratories of David Newburg and Ardythe Morrow. The laboratory uses an Agilent QQQ for LC‑MS analysis of bioactive carbohydrates and free fatty acids, and cell culture and tissue culture to assess their bioactivity.
Essential Functions- Conduct research experiments in mucosal immunology, pro‑inflammatory signaling, extracellular vesicles, anaerobic fermentation by intestinal microbiota, and instrumental analysis of human milk components.
- Gather and analyze data and develop new ideas.
- Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts and other presentations of research results.
- Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentation; may assist in grant writing.
- Keep informed of developments in field to maintain and enhance professional expertise.
- Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies, as needed.
- May teach techniques to others, train, and mentor junior research staff.
- Engage in appropriate training and professional development opportunities.
- Play an active role in seeking career and research advice, both from the faculty supervisor and from other faculty members as well.

Doctoral Degree in chemical or biomedical sciences.
