Work Hours- Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Evening shift
- Weekend and Holiday rotation

- Associate's degree (Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)
- Medical Technologist (MLT)
- American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
- Must be a graduate of an approved MLT program and be certified by ASCP or equivalent, or be registry eligible (Certification must be obtained within one year of hire)
- MLT Clinical Training
- Up to 1 year of clinical experience as required by the MLT program in a hospital setting
This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to doctors, pathologists, or other physicians. This role may work in various major areas of the laboratory, including Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. The position involves operating and maintaining a variety of laboratory instruments and utilizing the laboratory computer system in the performance of duties.
The position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting.
