First Step Home is a residential and outpatient treatment program dedicated to women's centered care for addictions and co-occurring mental health and trauma related issues. First Step Home is nationally accredited by CARF and certified to provide services by the Ohio Mental Health Addiction Services Board. The agency is focused on bringing best practices, collaborative partnerships and diversification of funding needed to address the needs of women of all ages and life stages that bring complex issues to the recovery program.

First Step Home was founded in 1993 in response to the need for a residential treatment facility that would permit children, ages 0 through 12, to live with their mother during treatment. This facility increased participation in substance abuse treatment and reduced the barrier of women being forced to place their children in foster care for extended periods of time.

Clients of First Step Home include single women, pregnant women, women with criminal justice involvement and women with long histories of abuse.

Hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm but flexible to clients' needs.

This position is eligible for Student Loan Forgiveness.

This position is eligible for the Star Program.

Evaluates and designs plans to address and decrease barriers to medical, social, educational, and other needs essential to increasing self-sufficiency for clients.

• Works with the client to develop an Individual Case Management Plan.
• Provide case management services for clients as mutually agreed upon with the client in the Person Centered Treatment Plan.
• Internal and external collaboration for client support and service needs, including coordinating transportation needs.
• Facilitate group treatment.
• Attend individual supervision sessions with the Director of Clinical Services, as directed.
• Attend all clinical meetings, with participation.
• Coordinate transportation needs of clients.
• Generate direct billable service hours according to First Step Home standards, as established in the annual review.
• Submit all documents relevant to services rendered according to First Step Home, Inc. timelines.
• Work to attain the goals as written in job performance evaluations.
• Abide by the standards as set forth in First Step Home’s Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct.
• Pursue training necessary for enhancing clinical skills and acquiring and maintaining appropriate credentials and licenses.
• Follow all safety rules and safe health practices of First Step Home, Inc.
• Comply with all agency policies, procedures, and directives of immediate supervisor, the President/CEO and the Board of Trustees of First Step Home.
• Follow the Core Values of First Step Home, Inc.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• CDCA required.
• Two years experience working in the field of behavioral health.
• Current driver’s license in good standing and proof of personal auto liability insurance.
