Reports to:

Dietary Manager/Food Service Director

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting with food preparation and serving meals to residents of the Skilled Nursing Facility. The dietary aide will work with the dietary team to ensure that the nutritional needs of residents are met and to provide an enjoyable dining experience for all.

• Assist with meal preparation, including cooking, baking, and chopping vegetables
• Set up and clean dining areas and tables for mealtimes
• Assist with the delivery and serving of meals to residents
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure that all food served meets the dietary restrictions and preferences of residents
• Clean kitchen equipment, counters, and floors to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with the inventory and stocking of food and supplies
• Handle resident inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to food service and safety
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required
• Must have strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

The Dietary Aide will work in a skilled nursing facility kitchen, which may be hot and noisy. The job requires standing for extended periods and lifting to 50 pounds. The dietary aide will work with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and food processors, which require proper safety precautions. The job may require working weekends and holidays.
