Overview

Join Naph Care as a Part‑Time Paramedic working a 12‑hour shift in the Hamilton County Justice Center in Cincinnati, OH. You will collaborate with correctional officers and medical staff to deliver high‑quality healthcare to inmates in a secure environment while responding to emergencies and managing medical protocols.

New grads encouraged to apply – we provide training in correctional healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergencies, administer medications, and ensure inmate health and safety.
  • Perform patient assessments, interview patients about current health problems, and document medical history.
  • Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, respiration, weight) and draw blood.
  • Document medical history, treatments, and conditions.
  • Maintain medical equipment and supplies.
  • Complete intake screening and administer PPD.
  • Ensure safety and security of inmates and staff during medical procedures and transport.
  • Observe and report changes in patients' physical or mental health.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a Paramedic program.
  • State license for Paramedic (obtainable).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CPR certification.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Adhere to Code of Conduct and correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • New graduates encouraged to apply.
Physical Capabilities

Must stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
