Compensation: $180K to $210K Base + Potential Bonus + Potential Equity

Job Description

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role requires a strategic thinking and tactical execution, proven experience growing previous organizations, and the ability to lead and develop an accounting and finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting operations
  • Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Lead the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
  • Proven prior experience as a Senior Leader in Accounting and Finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to build a team and accounting and finance processes.
  • Experience with state expansion filings and state regulators
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies.
