Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Loan Servicing Specialist Mortgage to join our team. The role involves reviewing mortgage-related documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper servicing of loans. Responsibilities include managing loans affected by FEMA events, verifying foreclosure processes, auditing payments, and confirming adherence to regulatory and investor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review documentation to ensure all mortgage servicing processes are followed accurately.
• Manage pipelines for assigned loans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Review and audit 1098/1099 documents.
• Verify rate adjustments and ensure required notices are issued within regulatory timelines.
• Audit Bankruptcy documentation to confirm proper handling of loans in bankruptcy status.
• Ensure loan payments are correctly processed and applied according to the Note and applicable regulations.
• Confirm proper filing of claims to mortgage insurance providers.
• Audit collection and loss mitigation processes, including assistance solicitations, notices, and credit reports.
• Validate escrow account functions and ensure proper execution.
• Review loans impacted by FEMA-declared disaster events and confirm appropriate assistance is provided.
• Audit foreclosure documentation to ensure timely and compliant completion.
• Review Lender-Placed Insurance (LPI) processes to confirm correct notice and removal procedures.
• Ensure all eligible loss mitigation programs are offered and finalized appropriately.
• Verify accuracy of payoff statements and completion of lien releases.
• Confirm proper transfer of loan-servicing records, including loan data, amounts, and documentation.

Required Knowledge & Experience

• 2 3 years of U.S. mortgage servicing experience
• Strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes, loan documentation, and industry terminology

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage complex and escalated issues effectively
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Flexibility to work night shifts

Education

• Minimum Qualification: Diploma or equivalent
