Role DescriptionThe Financial Analyst will report to the Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations. This role will be responsible for conducting financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for build-to-suit developments, acquisitions, and dispositions of commercial real estate properties. You will also prepare investment memos, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with senior management, appraisers, lenders, and attorneys to support the acquisition, development, and disposition of commercial real estate assets.
Candidates will have exposure to a number of different areas in commercial real estate including leasing, accounting, finance, construction, and development.
- Build and maintain financial models using Excel to project cash flows, returns, and sensitivities for commercial real estate investments.
- Conduct due diligence and underwriting for potential acquisitions, developments, and dispositions of commercial real estate properties.
- Prepare investment memos and reports to communicate the investment rationale, risks, and recommendations to senior management, lenders, and clients.
- Prepare investor communications including quarterly reports, capital calls, and sale summaries.
- Lead the collection and communication of due diligence information to potential lenders for the purposes of obtaining debt.
- Track and complete debt compliance reporting to lenders.
- Assist in reviewing financial statements of potential clients and existing tenants.
- Contribute to the closing of commercial real estate transactions.
- Monitor and update the performance and status of the existing commercial real estate portfolio.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or related field.
- Experience in financial analysis, valuation, and modeling for commercial real estate preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Passion and enthusiasm for commercial real estate.
