- Advise members on GECU products and services that help achieve desired financial outcomes
- Manage a book of business that meets sales and service goals through virtual consultative conversations with current and prospective members
- Answer inbound calls regarding new consumer loan accounts, new depository accounts, and inquiries about existing IRAs and HSAs
- Facilitate the consumer loan application process: product recommendation, loan interview, credit evaluation, and document collection for underwriting
- Facilitate electronic loan closings via Docu Sign or schedule in‑person closings at a branch
- Maintain loan pipeline by following up via email or phone and reviewing documentation to advance the lending process timely
- Perform basic account maintenance, open and close various depository accounts, and support internal teams with deposit and loan account creation
- Review accounts for quality control and perform other duties to support Virtual Branch Services as needed
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum two years of customer service or call‑center experience (required)
- Minimum one year of experience in a financial institution or related industry (required)
- Basic understanding of financial institution products and services
- Fundamental experience in consultative conversations
- Experience analyzing financial data including credit reports
- Proficient written and verbal communication; ability to explain products effectively
- Active listening and comprehension of members’ financial concerns
- Empathy and emotional intelligence to deliver loan status updates
- Adaptability to a fast‑paced call‑center environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and credit‑union systems
