SOX Manager – GE Aerospace
Join the finance and controls team at GE Aerospace as a SOX Manager, overseeing internal controls testing and monitoring across compliance, operational, and financial reporting objectives. This role is based in Cincinnati, OH, and includes collaboration with Controllers, external audits, and internal audit teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and review scoping and risk assessment of assigned business processes.
- Develop, update, or review in-scope process narratives, flowcharts, and control matrices.
- Lead and support walkthroughs of business cycles and assess effectiveness of processes and controls (Tests of Design).
- Execute and review testing for various business processes (Tests of Effectiveness).
- Monitor status of corrective action plans and test remediation of identified deficiencies.
- Manage and report program progress and risks to the Senior Director of Business Process SOX.
- Work directly with Controllers and control owners on program progress, deficiency evaluation, and process improvement.
- Coordinate working relationships with external audit, internal audit, and DT IA SOX.
- Use judgment to solve moderately complex tasks and make decisions using internal and external sources.
- Lead small projects with moderate risk and complexity.
- Impact processes, projects, and programs within the Controllership (SOX Governance) and overall team quality.
- Stay informed of industry trends and develop specialized expertise in IA.
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, STEM majors, or business administration.
- 8+ years of audit/SOX experience, external or internal, including at least 3 years accountable for a team.
- Location:
Cincinnati, OH. - Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Established project management skills.
