Overview

The Staff Accountant is an integral member of the Finance team, managing closing activities, providing technical accounting support and general ledger account reconciliations to support the finance function. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and the first 90 days onsite for training.

Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly closing activities for the Cincinnati site within deadlines, including journal entry preparation and review.
  • Process the requirements of standard tax package processes on time (monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables to Corporate Tax) and respond to requests as needed.
  • Perform service revenue recognition accounting and lease accounting for all locations.
  • Complete the monthly R12 site requirements, performing revenue analysis in alignment with SOX.
  • Lead cross-functional reviews with Dover Business Services teams (AR, AP).
  • Provide technical cost accounting support, participate in, and lead the inventory valuation process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Accounting Degree
  • 2-4 years of general accounting work experience
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and ability to handle accounting duties within an ERP environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power BI)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and support business decisions

Compensation and benefits
  • Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
  • Bonus Eligible:
    This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan
