We are seeking a hands-on, growth-oriented Assistant Controller who wants to contribute directly to operations while positioning themselves for advancement into the Controller role.

Key Responsibilities- Lead daily, monthly, and annual account reconciliations
, including bank, balance sheet, credit card, and ACH activity - Manage the monthly close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and maintain daily sales and cash reporting and monthly financial statements
- Classify and track cash receipts; provide oversight and problem-solving support for accounts receivable
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies; maintain fixed asset records
- Work closely with operations, banking partners, vendors, customers, and internal leadership to keep financial processes running smoothly
- Support multiple business units, including retail and property operations
- Contribute to financial controls, procedures, and process improvements
- 3+ years of accounting experience (industry experience in construction, landscaping, manufacturing, distribution, or field-services is helpful but not required)
- Strong general ledger and reconciliation skills
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Computer Ease, Quick Books, CounterPoint, or Renterra is a plus
- A proactive, resourceful working style with the ability to take ownership and follow through
- Interest in growing into a senior accounting leadership role
