Senior Environmental Compliance Project Manager/Consultant
Patriot Engineering and Environmental is an Employee‑Owned, diverse engineering firm with multi‑state locations and presence providing geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing services and consultation to commercial, industrial and governmental clients. This role is located in our Cincinnati, OH office.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Compliance Project Manager/Consultant who will work closely with the Regional Environmental Group Manager and other technical leads to manage environmental compliance services. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, flexible, personable, detail oriented, eager to learn, and ready to be part of a high‑performing team.
Responsibilities- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with underground storage tank closures and petroleum release investigations in Ohio (Ohio Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations guidelines) and/or Kentucky (Kentucky Underground Storage Tank Branch guidelines) including knowledge of state petroleum release insurance fund guidelines.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Ohio EPA Voluntary Action Program (VAP) regulations. Evaluate potential projects through historical document and records review to develop scope of work and prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Implement projects with minimal oversight and see them through to successful completion within budgetary constraints.
- Excellent report/document preparation and review skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Communicate effectively with staff, colleagues, contractors, clients, etc.
- Act as a mentor or advisor to junior and entry‑level staff.
- Adaptable and flexible, willing to take on tasks or projects outside normal scope to add to the office’s and company’s success.
- Build a sustaining practice and engage in business development, including active participation in professional organizations.
- Work directly with clients professionally and display a service‑oriented attitude to address their operational, remediation, and development challenges and goals.
- Build, sustain and mentor a high‑performing team focusing on professional acumen, client service and QA/QC.
- Registered/Licensed geologist/engineer (10–15 years of experience minimum) with current license in Ohio, Kentucky and/or Indiana or the capability of becoming licensed in at least one of these states within 6 months.

- Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities and delivering responsive, high‑quality services.
- Ability to make decisions and perform as an independent thinker and leader while collaborating with project team personnel.
- Strong technical writing and data management, organizational and communication skills.
