The Department of Engineering & Computing Education (DECE) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science invites candidates for a Term‑Adjunct position.
Essential FunctionsDECE teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The ideal candidate has industry or higher‑education teaching experience, a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in an engineering discipline or closely related STEM field, and a background suitable for teaching one or more of the following courses:
- ENED 1020 – Foundations of Engineering (laboratory)
- ENED 1090 – Engineering Models I (MATLAB focused)
- ENED 1091 – Engineering Models II (MATLAB focused)
- ENED 1100 – Foundations of Engineering Design Thinking I (design‑centered)
- ENED 1120 – Foundations of Engineering Design Thinking II (design‑centered)
- ENED 3061 – Probability and Statistics I
- ENED 3066 – Engineering Statistics
Other courses may be available at the time of application.
Minimum Requirements- Undergraduate courses:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related STEM field. - Graduate courses:
Ph.D. in an engineering discipline or related STEM field, or an M.S. with 5+ years of professional experience.
