Employment Type: Full-Time Lead the Future of Municipal Infrastructure with Fishbeck Are you an experienced engineer passionate about wastewater planning and hydraulic modeling? Join Fishbeck as a Municipal Modeling Engineer and take the lead on impactful projects that shape the future of our communities. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, guide data-driven infrastructure planning, and deliver innovative solutions for municipal systems.
What You'll Work On
- Lead sanitary sewer flow monitoring programs, including data quality review and analysis.
- Develop and calibrate storm, sanitary, and combined sewer hydraulic models.
- Evaluate system performance and capacity using modeling tools.
- Recommend sewer rehabilitation and capital improvement projects.
- Analyze field data and inspection footage from sewer evaluation surveys.
- Prepare technical reports such as wastewater master plans, basis of design reports, and modeling memorandums.
- Manage projects, budgets, and client communications for modeling and planning efforts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Fishbeck offices on design studies and infrastructure improvements.
- Support marketing efforts including proposal writing, scope development, and budgeting.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- 8+ years of experience in flow monitoring, modeling, and analysis of sanitary and storm sewer systems.
- Proficiency with EPA SWMM and PCSWMM; experience with Info Works ICM is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing and client interaction.
- Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.
