Reports To: Sr. Project Engineer/Team Lead

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for performing structural analysis, managing projects, and supporting client relationships across a variety of projects. This role provides technical leadership, prepares structural submittal packages, performs field observations, and contributes to project planning and execution. The Project Engineer works independently on small and medium projects and supports larger projects under supervision, with the opportunity to develop into a team leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Analysis & Design
  • Perform structural analysis on projects with minimal supervision, applying engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Prepare structural submittal packages for client review, permitting, and construction purposes.
  • Review and interpret structural drawings and documentation to ensure design accuracy.
Project Management & Client Relations
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects independently, including scheduling, deliverables, and budget oversight.
  • Assist with management of larger projects under direction from senior engineers or principals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide technical guidance as needed.
Field Support & Observation
  • Perform structural observation at various job sites, ensuring compliance with design intent and construction standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors and project teams to address technical challenges in the field.
Team Support & Development
  • Assist other engineers on larger projects, providing technical input and support.
  • Participate in project reviews and contribute to design solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to grow into a team leadership role by mentoring junior engineers and coordinating project efforts.
  • Create fee estimates for clients or as directed by principals.
  • Assist with project billing and tracking as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the engineering team and company operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Preference for experience in the entertainment industry or projects with complex structural design requirements.
  • Hybrid with two days remote and three days in office
