Entry-Level Design Engineer

Job Overview

A Design Engineer position is available at Belcan in Cincinnati, OH. This is a full‑time, direct job with full benefits. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline and will support design for tooling used in building aircraft engines.

• Support equipment design and development
• Design, including concept sketches and layouts
• Prepare specifications and design calculations
• Review and check designs, drawings and data from subordinate engineers, designers, and vendors
• Review design documents of equipment manufacturers or subcontractors
• Present engineering design review presentations

• BS or MS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and possess knowledge of modeling and analysis using one or more tools
• Knowledge of industry standard practices and project organization; experience in supervising design/drafting personnel
• Experience with stress analysis, technical writing, and manufacturing processes
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, highly organized, and possess excellent communication abilities
• Legal authorization to work in the US required; must have or be able to obtain security clearance

• Experience with NX or other modeling software
• Experience with ANSYS

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a salary rate of $58,240 to $66,560, although Belcan considers factors such as education, experience, geographic location, and discipline when extending an offer.
