Job SummaryDeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill an Automation Graphic Designer Co-op position in our Cincinnati, Ohio location. The Automation Graphic Designer Co-op will assist in developing building automation and energy management system graphics. This position provides production support for BAS/EMS graphics under close supervision; developmental role focused on learning platforms, standards, and UI/UX fundamentals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assist with creation/editing of BAS/EMS graphics using templates.
- Execute data entry, image prep, and point mapping tasks.
- Support testing and basic QA under guidance.
- Update documentation and maintain files per versioning standards.
- Shadow designers/engineers; apply feedback to improve.
- Follow security, accessibility, and safety guidelines.

RequiredEducation and/or Experience
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of a related program (Engineering, CS, Design).
- Familiarity with design tools and Microsoft 365; quick learner.
- Attention to detail, organization, and process adherence.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Learns standards; responsive communication.
- Reliability in completing scoped tasks.
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentEmployees are regularly required to sit, see, talk, and hear; use hands to handle tools; walk and reach; and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May lift up to 25 pounds. Field visits may involve outdoor conditions, mechanical/electrical exposure, heights, dust/fumes, chemicals, weather, sun, heat/cold, electrical shock risk, and vibration. Noise level is moderate to loud.
