The responsibilities of the Virtual Design & Construction Co‑op will vary from project to project but generally would include some or all of the following:
- Work in some or all of the following platforms:
Sketch Up, Revit, Lumion, Tekla, Navisworks, Recap, Synchro Pro, Archi
CAD, Microstation, Rhino, 3DS Max, Adobe CS, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) - Working with project teams, business development, estimating, safety, and building systems group departments to develop:
- Site and building layouts
- 3D site logistics plans
- Building models and 3D mock‑ups
- 3D prints
- Safe plans of work
- 4‑D schedules
- Laser scan/point cloud integration
- Augmented/Virtual Reality models and visualizations
- Document control
- Quality control
- Research and Development
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an Architectural‑related program with a focus on construction processes, industry/delivery methods, building information modeling, or virtual design and construction.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Experience with 3D modeling software.
