• Execute long‑term strategic initiatives for PMC materials.
• Translate design requirements into material property targets, create/maintain material specifications and allowables.
• Plan and execute materials programs (research, candidate evaluation, test plans, test execution, inspection and validation), including technical report outs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Own program plans and use program management skills to keep the project teams accountable.
• Partner with sourcing and suppliers on material development efforts, aligned to business priorities.
• Work closely with design, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and program management to align materials decisions with program needs.
• Ensure materials are compatible with current and future process needs.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Materials Science or Materials Engineering.

• 8 years of experience in Materials Engineering or Materials Science.
• Familiarity with Polymer Matrix Composite materials.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong program management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market and manage programs that further the knowledge, understanding and capability of the business.
• Problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in at least one technical specialty, along with the ability to teach and set standard practices within this field.
