We're building a next-generation, AI-driven steel factory designed from day one for lights-out operation. The facility is packed with robotic welding cells, advanced cutting and bending equipment, and real-time data systems. We're looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Welding) to architect the welding and fabrication processes that make this factory truly autonomous. You'll take a ready-to-run line and turn it into a high-precision manufacturing engine.

What You'll Do

• Develop and qualify weld procedures (WPS/PQR) for MIG/TIG/laser across structural steels and thicknesses
• Validate and optimize automated/AI-driven welding cells, dialing in parameters and paths for FPY, cycle time, and uptime
• Define cutting and bending parameters so upstream processes feed reliable, robot-friendly parts downstream
• Design the in-process quality loop: inspection points, metrology selection, SPC, and closed-loop feedback to catch drift early
• Mine production data using Python, SQL, or advanced Excel to find root causes and lock in sustainable improvements
• Create modular fixturing and changeover strategies for high-mix, low-volume work that still hits tight tolerances
• Collaborate with automation partners and customer engineers to simplify designs for automated manufacturing while remaining code-compliant
• Codify everything you prove into a "manufacturing OS" so future factories can come online fast

What You Bring

• 5 to 10 years in Manufacturing or Welding Engineering (structural steel, automotive, aerospace, or heavy equipment)
• Strong welding metallurgy foundation and comfort with AWS/ASME code requirements
• Hands-on experience validating and tuning robotic or automated welding systems
• Willingness to spend roughly 50% of your time on the floor, side-by-side with technicians and robots
• Data-driven mindset: you've used Python, SQL, or similar tools to analyze process data and drive improvement
• Familiarity with SPC, automated inspection, and closed-loop quality systems; NDE/NDT exposure is a plus
