Base pay range$90,000.00/yr - $/yr
Must-haves:- 9+ years of experience as an Aircraft Systems Engineer with managerial experience
- Must come from an aviation background (Airline, MRO, OEM)
- Strong understanding of Aircraft Systems
- Experience reviewing, advising, and updating records including engineering orders and STCs (supplemental type certificate)
- Flexible schedule - Ability to work night shifts/weekends
- A&P Certification
- Airline Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
This Sr. Aircraft Systems Engineer will lead and mentor a multi-discipline team supporting the client’s 747/767/737/777 fleets. The Sr. Aircraft Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety, airworthiness, and reliability of the aircraft. Responsibilities include prioritizing systems engineering actions, managing heavy maintenance and conversion MRO documentation, and issuing instructions to support safe and timely aircraft operations. The role involves budgetary planning, regulatory compliance (FAR/AD/NPRM), and FIX analysis.
The engineer will liaise with OEMs, MROs, and regulatory bodies, participate in industry working groups, and review consultant and contractor work. They’ll also develop AMOCs, update technical documents, and support aircraft induction and integration. A key focus is continuous improvement—enhancing reliability, reducing costs, and increasing aircraft availability and performance. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive technical issues to closure while balancing customer and team needs.
