I am a passionate Recruiter who is overjoyed when I am able to link people with their dream job!Our client, an architectural/engineering firm supporting a variety of building, planning, and site development projects in the Commercial, Education, Government (Local/Municipal, State, and Federal), Mixed Use, Retail, and Workplace markets, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering and design production for their projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Director, Mechanical Engineers, and Project Managers to meet company and client goals
- Respond to budget hour estimates from Division Managers and Project Managers
- Assist with project schedules and budgets
- Provide technical, project management, and client support
- Manage mechanical design and production for assigned projects
- Establish design parameters aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Prepare Mechanical design and construction documents in REVIT MEP, following standards
- Coordinate with project managers on schedules and costs
- Seek guidance from the Director of Mechanical Engineering Services as needed
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
- Develop design studies, narratives, calculations, and analyses; oversee support staff
- Research and select building materials and systems
- Maintain knowledge of related building systems and coordinate their integration
- Perform conceptual planning and design, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Develop design documents for all project phases
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited US college
- PE License as a Mechanical Engineer in the US
- At least 10 years of experience in Mechanical and Plumbing Engineering within an engineering or architecture/engineering firm, focusing on mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping, and utility systems
- Knowledge of building codes and design principles
- Proficiency in REVIT MEP;
AutoCAD or Microstation is a plus - Experience with HVAC analysis software (Carrier HAP or NIBS Trace 700 preferred)
- Familiarity with A/E BIM standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Mid-Senior level
