Maintenance Manager

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and driven Maintenance Manager to join our team in a busy packaging manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across all plant maintenance activities.

This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive, hands-on approach to maintaining production efficiency, safety, and quality standards.

• Oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring training, motivation, and performance management.
• Implement and manage preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate effective, timely repairs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, work orders, and asset records using a CMMS system.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
• Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support operational goals and minimize disruption.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Lead or support capital improvement projects and facility upgrades.

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma certification preferred).
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools.
• Degree or technical qualification in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
