Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for an Engineering Technician
.

Position Type: Full Time Contract, Possible contract to hire
Duration: 06 months
Location: Rochester, NY, 14606

As an Engineering Technician you will:

• Work under general supervision, the Technician will apply their knowledge of Electrical Technology and Electronics to engage in functional testing, verification and validation of electronic, electro‑mechanical and electro‑optical systems.
• Test involvement will include but is not limited to test preparation, test execution, operation of custom test sets, operation of test‑related equipment, recording data and reporting data.
• Provide support for product testing as well as set up and integration of test equipment. This will be an on‑site position as remote support is generally not possible due to the nature of the testing environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires HS Diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years manufacturing/production experience.
• Must be able to read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions.
• Demonstrates appropriate computer knowledge.
• Understands and adheres to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.

Preferred

Skills:

• Associate’s degree in related field with 0-2 years’ experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with electronics test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, and cables.
• Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, C++, Python, etc.
• Experience with Mate/De‑mate of Flight cables.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Experience working in the Aerospace or Defense industry.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $33 to $35 per hour (range based on factors such as education, experience, location, job duties, and certifications).
