Job DescriptionThis role focuses on designing and building scalable data systems, ensuring data platforms meet business needs, and identifying opportunities to improve data usage. A solid understanding of data engineering, data mining, and algorithms is essential.
Candidate ProfileStrong communication skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new business and technical domains. A minimum of three years of hands‑on technical experience is preferred.
Required Technical Skills- Snowflake for modern data warehousing
- dbt for SQL-based transformations, testing, and documentation
- Data Stage for legacy ETL support during migration
- Advanced SQL development and optimization
- ETL/ELT pipeline design, orchestration, and maintenance
- CI/CD using Git-based workflows
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Python and Shell scripting
- Data modeling (normalized and dimensional)
- Data validation frameworks (dbt tests, Great Expectations)
- Metadata management and lineage tracking
- REST/SOAP API integration
- Design, build, test, and maintain data systems and pipelines
- Develop algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes
- Ensure systems align with business requirements and industry standards
- Integrate new data and engineering technologies
- Establish processes for data mining, modeling, and production
- Build custom components and analytics applications
- Identify new ways to leverage existing data assets
- Connect and optimize systems using various programming tools
- Collaborate with data architects, IT teams, and data scientists
- Maintain disaster recovery procedures
- Recommend improvements to data quality and reliability
- Technical degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MySQL, No
SQL, Hadoop, Mongo
DB) - Experience programming or architecting backend systems (e.g., Java, J2EE)
