Trillium is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in Cincinnati! This Direct-Hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer who designs innovative electrical systems for large industrial and commercial facilities. Join a collaborative team of architects, engineers, and project managers working on complex, high-value projects—up to $500 million—for leading industry names.

As an integral member of the engineering department, you’ll lead and support electrical design efforts, apply technical expertise, and advance best practices in lighting systems, power distribution, and controls for mechanical and refrigeration systems. This role reports directly to the SVP/Director of Engineering and offers opportunities to mentor others, contribute to multi-disciplinary projects, and grow within a culture built on collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering design and documentation for large industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Develop lighting, power distribution, and control system designs from concept through construction.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integration and technical accuracy.
  • Provide mentorship, technical support, and design guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Support project success by meeting deadlines, maintaining quality, and exceeding client expectations.

Schedule is 1st Shift / Monday – Friday / 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Annual salary is $75,000/year depending on experience.

Qualifications
  • BSEE required;
    Engineer Intern (EI) certification a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing electrical systems for large industrial and commercial facilities, preferably within an A/E consulting environment
  • Actively pursuing or strongly interested in obtaining professional engineering licensure
  • Demonstrated ability to independently produce precise, high-quality construction documents
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills focused on client satisfaction
  • Expertise in power distribution, lighting, and control system design
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency with design software and current industry standards
  • Committed to continuous improvement, teamwork, and technical excellence
