Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Manufacturing Engineering Specialist

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will support the manufacturing development of classified component manufacturing techniques for Coatings, Non-Conventional Machining, Composites, and Light Assembly work for Next Generation engine programs. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and help industrialization & maturation of the value stream.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Have prior roles in Supply Chain Operations.
  • Must be a US Citizen without Dual Citizenship.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of manufacturing processes for classified hardware.
  • Lead and provide technical direction to projects with critical business impact.
  • Drive rigor for documentation of projects and lessons learned.
  • Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools.
  • Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company.
  • Lead by example and model team member for the whole site.
  • Use Lean Manufacturing techniques & tools to drive a systems mindset.
  • Manage & Lead Manufacturing Readiness Projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Chemical or related program experience).
  • A minimum of 3 years in the required skillset.
Desired Characteristics
  • Lean Manufacturing & Systems mindset.
  • Prior experience launching new processes in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience operating within Quality Systems (Ex: AS9100, NADCAP).
  • Skilled in the use of CAD modeling software (Unigraphics preferred).
