Position SummaryYou will play a key role in all aspects of construction administration and inspection services/testing for state (ODOT, KYTC, INDOT), county, and local clients. You’ll oversee projects in roadway/bridge, municipal utility/infrastructure, water-wastewater, and some vertical construction projects. The role will involve projects from design through construction, ensuring performance and compliance.
Key Highlights- Base out of Cincinnati office with mix of onsite field and office work.
- Independent work on broad projects under direction of a Department Manager while managing a team or projects.
- Projects typically in Southwest Ohio, north‑northwest Kentucky, southern Indiana within a 60‑90 minute travel radius.
- Vehicle stipend or company vehicle may be provided based on assignment.
- Participate in all aspects of construction administration and inspection services for infrastructure projects.
- Perform construction administration and inspection services for state, county, and local clients.
- Manage roadway/bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
- Create estimates and proposals.
- Collaborate with Marketing Department on technical aspects of proposals.
- Monitor and enforce standards and specifications.
- Read and apply blueprints and construction documents on various infrastructure projects.
- Travel to project sites to inspect construction projects and ensure contractor compliance.
- Manage, coordinate, supervise, and provide technical support to Technicians and Inspectors performing inspection work and materials testing (concrete, foundation, masonry, pavement).
- Oversee on‑site inspections including soil compaction tests, concrete field tests, reinforcing steel verification, and other tests.
- Verify plan quantities and calculations with bid plans.
- Prepare and maintain project records and reports.
- Notify the Contractor and Regional Manager of status updates or non‑conforming issues.
- Review project submittals including CPM schedules.
- Communicate with clients on deliverables.
- Assist with developing project proposals and construction cost estimates.
- Assist with developing/managing schedules, budgets, and quality of work.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of civil and engineering principles, reporting, analysis, and project team management.
- Extensive experience in construction industry and engineering equipment.
- Experience with construction materials testing and structural integrity testing/evaluation.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Technical skills and understanding of P&L.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining quality‑focused.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to train others and work as a team player.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
- 7+ years of applicable experience.
- PE licensure required.
- 5+ years of construction material inspection and testing experience is a plus.
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
