Location is flexible with teleworking opportunities. This position will support our growing industrial water practice and will lead planning, design, and construction projects for our local and national private/industrial water clients. You will have opportunities to support both municipal and industrial water projects with the chance to chart your own career. Responsibilities- Lead planning, design, and construction projects for private/industrial water clients, with opportunities to support municipal projects as applicable.
- Manage teams of technical engineers and staff, shape organizational strategy, and serve as a key client representative.
- Deliver innovative solutions and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Mentor and coach engineers; support professional development within the team.
- Leverage Jacobs’ proprietary tools and develop master planning and condition assessments related to water and wastewater processes.
- Ensure alignment with project delivery standards and safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil, chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer license (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- At least 8 years of consulting experience with industrial water and wastewater clients.
- Experience delivering industrial and municipal planning and design projects.
- Demonstrated understanding of process mechanical designs, water and wastewater unit processes and technologies, master planning and condition assessments.
- Willingness to learn Jacobs’ proprietary tools.
- Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers; experience managing deliverables to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Ideally, you’ll have additional qualifications such as a PE license in multiple states (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana) and a master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent; project delivery experience with Micro Station, AutoCAD and Revit; construction services experience; professional society involvement; and strong interpersonal skills.
