Position Overview & Responsibilities

The Structural Engineer III plays a key role in the successful execution of projects. This individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers. The Structural Engineer III is responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and managed – both externally and internally. The successful candidate will also contribute to a dynamic team environment by being proactive, communicating clearly to all stakeholders, and modeling a highly collaborative working environment.

This person will also help support the business development process, through the writing of proposals and meeting with prospective and current customers.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following.

    Effectively execute projects. Help develop estimates for assigned scope of work, and ensure we stay within scope and adhere to the overall project budget (KFI labor, expenses, and su

    Oversee the production of construction documents including drawings and specifications, ensuring the application of sound structural engineering princip
  • les.

    Provide work direction to other team members (including subcontractors), and technical and engineering support to other departments/discipli
  • nes.

Qualifications
  • required

    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Design strongly prefe
  • rred.
    10+ years of experi
  • ence.

    Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future.

    Possess an understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering construction pract
  • ices.

    Strong structural design experience across a variety of industries (agribusiness and/or central utility) and materials (concrete and steel, masonry help
  • ful).Experience using structural analysis software (RISA or simi
  • lar).Demonstrated consistency in successful combination of design and/or project manage
  • ment.

    Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application, including MS Of
  • fice.

    Excellent verbal and written communication, and meeting management sk
  • ills.

    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with ot
