The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College (UCBA) is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio. The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College seeks applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of English to teach composition and, if needed, developmental writing for the  academic year. This is a one‑year position with the potential for a second‑year renewal. The Visiting Assistant Professor of English will be expected to teach four 3‑credit sections of composition‑related courses each semester, which may include developmental writing and/or co‑requisite composition.

• Teaching four courses per semester in the writing sequence, including developmental writing.
• Holding office hours to meet with students as needed.
• Also encouraged but not required: participation in program assessment, department service, professional development, and professional and scholarly activities.

• ABD in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or a closely related field.
• Completed doctoral degree is preferred.

• At least three academic years serving as instructor of record in college‑level writing, which may include developmental writing courses.
• Experience with varied (including non‑traditional, underprepared, etc.) student populations and/or an open admissions college environment is particularly valued.
